9/23:
FINAL BOAT RIDE OF THE SEASON:

Tiller extender. Allowed both captain and navigator to sit in the forward seat ....improving speed. Noticeably. [Lucas, Ursula]
Then disaster struck. Possible new life in Venice?? The motor and it's death grip on the motor-mount. No elaboration is really needed. The major damage. The prop also nipped at the hull a bit too. no major leaks however.
Video of the increased speed, before disaster (below):

Improvements for next season: New motor mount, steering wheel and throttle, handles on the front for lifting (or a trailer and skip the whole idea of lifting),railings on the front, INBOARD MOTOR!!!?? and probably throw a 15 Hp on there. All these should probably be applied to a new boat, built from scratch, using this boat's design, as inspiration for a whole fleet.
10/14: Repaired the damage, replaced motor mount with stronger and larger one, and unless it is warm and sunny within the next week, that officially wraps up the season. Where the prop nipped 'er. Two pieces of 3/4" plywood laminated together and bolted and screwed onto the transom. That ought to do the trick. It is also taller so that less of the motor is in the water. Oh yeah, I also got a fin for the bottom.

One final post-disaster ride was taken, and it was a ride riddled with adventure... all seems to be back in order and running smooth, as silk.

With that, this effectively closes the season for the unnamed, yet totally fast, boat. We shall see if she's brought out of hibernation come springtime, or if she's destined to be replaced by possible custom replicas or possibly a Mini-Most?
